In these works, reality breaks into fragments, into dots, like memory into moments. The world is built from what disappears: a pixel, a pulse, a trace of a being that was here a moment ago. This is painting that reminds us we see not what is, but what manages to remain.

The series Look Deeper is not even about perceiving an image. These works operate as a state: viscous, slowed down, with their own rhythm of breathing. The rocking horse, a primal illusion of movement, becomes lodged in the body of time, turning into a mechanism of repetition.

Everything rises and falls at once: a bubble, a thought, a gesture, and back to the same point. Light does not come from outside; it seeps from within, like a residue of lived experience. And the longer you look, the clearer it becomes: this is not about depth, this is depth, and you are already inside it.

Rats. Shadows, witnesses of cities. Symbols of chaos suddenly become reflections of what we consider stable order  an order that no longer deserves our trust.

Is a stage on which we all perform our own improvisation. Each work captures that very moment before… Here, struggle is encoded into a symbol of existence.

How often we step across it. And how different it can be: we fear it, afraid to come close; we tug at it like a tiger’s tail; or we hold it like Ariadne’s thread. What will it become for you? A choice.

What irony! What a great illusion. The stream of information and trash news keeps accelerating, carrying us away, tearing our consciousness into meaningless, fleeting fragments.

The Gift is a series of paintings about how we spend our lives searching for meaning somewhere outside ourselves, only to discover that this gift has always been hidden within. And if we look inward with honesty and without fear, all the questions and all the answers we’ve been chasing begin to reveal themselves.

Is a feeling that moves faster than thought. Red figures slice through space like flashes of memory, disappearing into fields where the grass remembers more than the bodies themselves. These paintings are about the attempt to break free not outward, but inward — into the place where a single second of freedom changes everything.

Naomi Lautier

Naomi Lautier is a French artist of Japanese descent, a representative of a generation born into a pivotal era of global change, shifting life rhythms, and deep cultural transformation. She was born in Paris in 2011. Her journey began with an intuitive gesture — a spontaneous drawing that appeared on a fence. This early visual act unexpectedly attracted the attention of passersby and became the starting point of her artistic path. A few months later, one of her works was sold at auction at the Royal Club of Barcelona — a moment that marked the symbolic beginning of her public presence in the art world
